Today we’d like to introduce you to another talented hybridizer whom we’ve welcomed into Triple Wren’s Legacy Program: Noni Morrison. Noni is the creator of the much sought-after Salish series of dahlias, including Salish Twilight Girl, Salish Snow Day, Salish Sea Pearl, Salish Alpen Glow, and more. We have several of Noni’s promising seedlings growing in our fields this summer, so if you’re coming to one of our events later this year, be sure to check them out!
For many years, Noni grew and sold cut dahlia blooms from her Calico Gardens on Vashon Island, and although she now lives in Oregon, she continues to hybridize and create more beautiful dahlias. We feel so honored to work with her to get her creations further into the world.
At Triple Wren we grow out hybridizers’ creations on a large scale and market their dahlias to our customers all over the U.S. This lets hybridizers keep on creating while we do the selling and cultivating, giving them more time to make more beauty to share in the world.
We’re also looking for new hybridizers to add to our program in future years. We want to unlock the treasury of dahlia creations from the past, and pave a path to success for future growers.
