“2020 was the year when we were going to…” I feel like almost everyone in the world could finish this sentence with a plan or hope or dream that they’ve had to let go. In some cases, original dreams have been replaced with silver linings and better outcomes than anyone imagined. In many more cases, people are grappling with a profound sense of loss and grief.
Here at Triple Wren, 2020 was the year when we were planning more events here at the farm. We were intentionally looking to build relationships face-to-face through our overnight glamping retreats and more in-person workshops. We have done our best to #pivot and flex, looking for creative ways to survive as weddings cancel, in-person events/travel is restricted, and our Crew is limited, but there has still been a lot of disappointment to deal with. “2020 was the year that we were…” starting an annual Cultivate Women’s Evening with a very special guest speaker, @ruthchousimons of @gracelaced! But… God had other plans.
Ruth and team have wisely decided, given the uncertainty of the WA state Reopening Phase progress, to postpone their visit to Triple Wren until summer 2021. She and her team have been absolutely lovely to work with, and we understand and support their decision to wait.
Even though Ruth’s visit will happen next year, We are still holding our very first 2020 Cultivate Women’s Evening here at Triple Wren on July 25, 2020, starting at 6PM, and if you are a current ticket holder, the ticket(s) you purchased will still apply. Triple Wren Founder Sarah Pabody will share her heart; we will worship God together with beautiful music and in prayer right at the edge of our flower fields; we are expanding the evening to include aspects of our popular Flower Therapy Workshops and inviting guests to you-pick a bountiful take-home bouquet from the almost 30,000 dahlias and roses at the farm. We will provide socially-distanced seating for the evening, and welcome you to come experience a refreshing evening after such a long season of “Stay-Home” and canceled plans. If you prefer a refund, that offer certainly still stands.
If you haven’t purchased a ticket yet but want to join us, visit our Online Store for more information!
