Adding to the Legacy: Vista Dahlias

This year we’re super excited to begin carrying dahlia tubers from Jean Heeringa – a lifetime veteran dahlia grower and hybridizer from right here in Whatcom County!

If you visited our hybridizer Q+A tent at Triple Wren’s 2021 Dahlia Festival, you may have met Jean and gleaned a little of her massive dahlia wisdom.

She is hybridizing the “Vista” series of dahlias, and three of her beautiful varieties will be available from our Legacy Collection in mid-November (pictured here: Vista Whitney, Vista Winnie, and Vista Char). You can look them up in our online store to see details and learn more. ✨

One more fun fact: the widely-beloved Bloomquist Jean dahlia was named for this talented hybridizer. We are thrilled to learn more from her talent and intuition as we work alongside her!
