Cut Flower Garden Planning Inspiration

If you’re following along in our Garden Planning for Success series, I want you to take some time this weekend and remember why you’re undertaking this kind of planning.

First, pull in a deep breath and imagine *your* ideal bouquet. Since spring is the season that’s coming to us next here in the Northern Hemisphere, let’s make it a spring bouquet!

My ideal spring bouquet has a big, hot pink peony with some amazing yellow stamens, maybe 3 stems of light pink or apricot stock in there, 2-3 stems of golden calendula, a sprig or two of Lady’s Mantle, and maybe a few orange ranunculus or some sprays of Totally Tangerine geum.

My perfect spring bouquet!

For me here in Northern WA state this is a late spring bouquet. Can you imagine the warm, fresh spring feel in the air, the joy in your heart, and the look on someone’s face when you give it to them? How will you feel when you show them its beauty. How will they walk through their next few days with that incredible special beauty in their life?

This sort of planning process isn’t for everyone. It resonates with *my* heart because of my personality and the way I like to do things. But I think that, even if it’s not your cup of tea, you could use this type of planning as a super useful tool to get you from where you sit today to delivering that bouquet into someone’s hands.
