We planted them in January and it’s been the sweetest anticipation waiting together for them to bloom.
We plant them in deep bulb crates filled with 6” of soil, 25 per crate, about 1” deep. {I can’t resist peeking at the roots as they grow, and the bigger the plants, the bigger the roots!}
This week, I’m filling our home with flowers, and we’ll be enjoying and sharing them for weeks ahead.
We don’t grow as many special blooms like this for cuts anymore, and having them again is SO sweet.
After almost 17 years of marriage and now in our 11th season of being business partners and farming together, he still knows what makes my heart sing! ????????????????????
We’ve walked together through financial loss and success, healthy years, major surgery for each of us (not at the same time!), babies, home school, new teenagers, unexpected joys and difficult disappointments, and while it’s not all been easy, I wouldn’t trade any of it.
Life is rich and deep, and I’m thankful to have my amazing person to enjoy it with.
