Purpose

We’re busy behind the scenes here at the farm as January slides into February: dahlia tuber grading, field prep (as possible in between rain showers!), and lining up all the details for some really, really special retreats and workshops at Triple Wren in 2020. I’m popping to tell you about it all, but we can both hang tight just a fewwww more days!

In the meantime, I want to share with you our Pabody family mission for 2020. We’re passionate about pulling our kids and their young hearts into the excitement of the farm, and we talk a lot with them about *why* we do what we do. I’m a big proponent of having a direction, a mission, because it keeps me from drifting and wandering aimlessly. When we’re mapping out our business year, we make a detailed plan, with goals and specifics, and it’s the key to making our business profitable. So it is in my personal life- I am inspired to model a purposeful life for our kids, and our #triplewrencrew. Living with this intentionality means we can do more here at the farm than just share beauty, or sell flowers. We can impact our immediate community (family & “farm-ily”) in a life-changing way, and branch out from there to impact our local town-communities and even influence friends around the globe.

Right now there’s a poster sticky-tacked to our pantry door, large and present in our daily life. We’re talking about it with our kids and with every local friend who will listen! It’s a distillation of the larger shift we’re making in our daily life at Triple Wren, where we’re intentionally slowing down with the goal of establishing our working cut flower farm as a restorative place for weary hearts – a place where we can invite people to linger, where we can purposefully interact with them and share real joy.

I can’t wait to welcome you, to offer some sweet opportunities to you. We hope to see you soon at the farm!

  1. With what you yourself have been going through, (I’ve been reading your posts) this is so perfect, I just love it ???????????????? A beautiful place to linger and nurture the soul a bit. We all need that! I can’t wait to visit your farm. This spring will be my first as a flower farmer and I would love to see what one looks like up close. I hope I can steal away and visit! And btw Miss Sarah, I can hardly wait to receive your beautiful dahlia tubers I ordered ????????????
