Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about Triple Wren Farms Canada.
Where will my dahlias ship from?
This year, we are selling tubers that grew in 2024 at our farm in Ferndale, Washington, but in spring 2025 we will be planting our dahlias in Canada and beginning the exciting journey of building a new dahlia farm there. We intend for our Canada farm’s tuber offerings to radically increase in future years as our farm in B.C. grows. These emails will have info specifically about our Canada sales, our farm growth, and all the happenings with this new adventure.
Will I have to pay for a phytosanitary certificate or any customs fees?
No! Our primary goal in opening this new farm in Canada is so that Triple Wren dahlia products will ship to Canadian addresses from our new farm location in British Columbia. Because we’ll be shipping within Canada, this will save our Canadian customers from U.S.-to-Canada phytosanitary certificate costs and potential customs delays, getting fresher dahlia products into your gardens less expensively and more quickly.
Who do you ship with in Canada?
We will ship in 2025 with Canada Post Xpresspost and Expedited Parcel.
Why can’t I get all of the dahlias in Canada that you offer in America?
We’re still building our Canadian farm, so we’re starting with about 70 dahlias varieties. We’re working hard to offer more of the varieties that you want to grow in your garden. If there is a specific variety that you would like to grow, let us know in the comments!
Can I visit your farm in Canada?
Our farm is a working farm and not set up for visitors. We will be having multiple events at our U.S. farm in summer 2025, though, and it’s 15 minutes south of the Canadian-U.S. border. We’d love to see you at one of those events!
Can I use my U.S. gift card at the Canadian store?
Great question. Unfortunately you can only use U.S. gift cards at our U.S. store at this time. Please purchase a Canadian gift card to use at the Canadian store.
Will you still have a farm in the U.S.?
Yes! We’ll keep farming at our Washington location. If you’ve ever visited Triple Wren for an event or a workshop, you likely know that our farm is located about 15 minutes from the Washington-British Columbia border. We are in a really wonderful location to lease part of an existing farm in British Columbia and begin growing and sharing beauty to even more of our flower friends.
I ordered rooted dahlia cuttings from your U.S. website. What will happen with those now that you have a Canadian website?
Thank you for ordering from us! You’ll receive the rooted cuttings you ordered in April of this year, depending on weather. In the future, all of our Canadian sales will happen on our Canadian website.
