Hello flower friends! We’re Steve and Sarah Pabody, founders and owners of Triple Wren Farms. Here at the farm we share beauty by growing dahlia tubers that we ship all over the United States, through our summer flower workshops and with cut flowers that we sell here in Washington state.
You may have heard us talking about our Dahlia Legacy Collection over the past few months. We’ve all been given an incredible heritage of dahlia beauty to use and enjoy, and we want to express our thankfulness to the hybridizers of the dahlias we grow and sell.
We curated a beautiful collection of dahlias for our first-ever Legacy Collection in 2020. These dahlias were hybridized by growers right here where we farm, in Whatcom County, Washington. Many of these treasures aren’t available elsewhere, and could easily be lost without better distribution.
We began Triple Wren’s Legacy Collection with the goal of making more varieties from small, American hybridizers available to a wider audience.
In this way, we are trying to preserve them.
We also aim to establish and standardize a royalty payment program for these original creators that will extend years into the future. We want to see them reap a well-deserved reward for their creative work.
We pledge to give back a portion of sales from the dahlias sold out of our Legacy Collections directly to the original hybridizers, every year.
As we walk through 2021, we are adding new hybridizers and new varieties, and are creating a video series to introduce you to several Legacy Collection dahlia hybridizers. You’ll be able to see firsthand the heart they have for creating and sharing beauty.
We plan to expand the benefits of our Legacy Collection in the years to come, first to all of Washington state, then to the broader Pacific Northwest, and way beyond that. We have big plans!
At Triple Wren, we are passionate about sharing beauty, and about doing good in our industry by not only the way we grow, but by the way we help others grow.
We are only able to establish our Legacy Program because of amazing flower friends like YOU, who purchase and grow these heirloom dahlias.
Thank you for enabling us to begin this honoring tradition and for your support of our family flower farm!
This is great regarding the Bloomquist collection and others in your legacy series. What a wonderful creation! Do you think that you might carry Bloomquist Bluh, Sterling and Tori P in the future? Those are in VERY high demand and impossible to get. Thank you Christine
Yes, we’re working on all three of those varieties!
