How to Quickly Multiply Your Dahlias

Here’s how to radically multiply your dahlia collection in one season: Learn to take cuttings and “clone” your tubers!

In winter, “wake up” some of your dahlia tubers by potting them up (leaving necks exposed) and growing on at about 70°. When sprouts are about 2”, prepare some plant trays with potting soil. Snip sprouts off, dip into rooting compound, insert into trays, and grow on under a humidity tent at about 70° until roots form. Soon you’ll have baby dahlia plants ready to go!
