Between these and thousands of seedlings, it’s a lot of beauty, a lot of decisions about what tubers to offer and what seedlings are promising enough to keep, a lot of note taking, comparisons, and assessments!

The truth is, out of all our annual tasks, this season is probably the most delightful. It makes me stop and really look deeply at all the beauty – the details of it and how it relates to and contrasts with each other, and it makes me feel incredibly grateful to be surrounded by it all.
