Between almost 800 varieties of dahlias to care for and evaluate, our beloved farm crew, our following here on social media (we’re thankful for you!), and our sweet family, Steve and I have a lot of relationships to manage.
It’s essential that we take some evenings to just enjoy each other and our own flowers , to stop all the calculating and just take in the beauty together (like these gorgeous Bloomquist Awaken dahlias- see other varieties listed below)!

This year we really reached the tipping point of realizing that if we wanted to pour our hearts into dahlia lovers in a deeper way, we had to find a way to do it on a smaller scale. The sheer number of consult requests and advice Q’s we get weekly is staggering, and we find ourselves constantly pointing folks to Instagram highlights or our blog instead of being really available to help, simply because there are only so many hours in a day.
This fall we created The Garden, which is a members-only online community that gives us a place where we are able to really build personal relationships with dahlia lovers. We can chat directly to answer questions, problem-solve, and encourage gardeners, and so far it has been a really great space for us. Our hearts are super encouraged to drill down to details and personally interact with some new friends, and we hope the resources there, including our first ever e-course “Anyone Can Grow Dahlias” and our continuing LIVE trainings are going to let us really share the knowledge we’ve gained over the past decade of flower farming.
If you’re a member of our new community, we are so excited about everything that’s coming up over the next year, and if you’re considering joining us in the New Year (find details on our website), please know that we will welcome you with open hearts and arms and look forward to sharing the beauty with you.
✨This simple pink and golden yellow palette totally stole my heart in summer ‘22:
