If you’re a garden rose lover, do you enjoy them more outside your home in your garden, or do you like to cut and design arrangements with them?
I’ll admit it’s a little hard for even me to answer this question, but I generally land on enjoying the cut flowers. For one thing, cutting garden roses (along with a good fertilization plan and regular irrigation) means that they’ll produce more and more blooms throughout the summer, but for another thing, there’s nothing quite like a gracious, garden rose-centered arrangement to adorn your home.
As our roses burst into bloom over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting lots of fresh arrangements (because I can’t help making them!) but also, if you’re local, consider joining me on Saturday, June 19th at Christianson’s Nursery, in Mount Vernon, WA, during their fun Rosy Day Out event. I’ll be speaking under the big tent about growing and designing with garden roses here in the Pacific Northwest, and would love to see you there! I’ll even be creating a lush, garden-style, rose-filled arrangement while I’m speaking (and giving it away to one lucky attendee!), so make your plans now to visit Christianson’s gorgeous nursery and enjoy a flower-focused day.
